Week One- ISR

I'm so excited! We just began ISR classes. (Infant Swimming Resource)

This is a type of swim class where he is trained to survive if he falls in water. It was a big decision for me because it's every day for 6 weeks! My life is plenty full and to make this type of commitment is huge right now! However, we have just started our 2nd week and I'm so happy that we did it. I plan to blog video each week so we can see his progression and accomplishments! Already, he's doing great! These two videos are last week and you will see him cry a bit and yell for me. That has already stopped and today he saw his instructor and ran up to her for a big hug.

Each week he learns new skills while reinforcing what he's already learned in the previous lessons. Each lesson is less than 10 minutes in the water. (Crazy, right?)
I pack him up each morning (usually more than one kid) and drive to the local high school, get him dressed, get to the pool and he swims for like 7 minutes! BUT, it's for his safety, so it's ok. I'm getting used to it and to see what he's already done, makes me so proud of him.

Those of you who are around Brooks know he's a BOY who's VERY, VERY curious and active. I felt that I didn't have a choice in the matter. He needs to know what to do if he falls in water. He's too curious and loves our pool.

So here are week one videos...
